Practical Instructions for successful technology transfer
Mathematical modelling is a sub-topic of applied mathematics. It is also the foundation for the success of the Heidelberg, Germany company, VMS. Prof.Dr. Andreas Mielke, who holds a doctorate as well as a habilitation in Physics, developed a new method at the end of the 1990s, based on complex mathematical models. It is used to help determine how efficiently SAP systems are actually used. In 2002, scientist Andreas Mielke began working with Ralph Treitz, an SAP specialist, and they founded the company, VMS, which today is a successful IT firm.
