Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) is a leading German manufacturer with a rich tradition, and produces energy and automation technology for energy providers and industrial companies. The company called on VMS in Germany and in Switzerland when it needed offers from service providers, and in particular, it wanted to look at pricing.

During the system analysis, the comprehensive know-how of VMS, based on the over 1,600 systems that VMS has measured, and the price information that goes along with that proved to be decisive. The offers were compared with best practices, in order to provide the company with a basis for negotiation. In looking at the offers of the service providers, strengths and weaknesses were identified.
