Bayer Business Services (BBS) provides services for IT, and process outsourcing for all the divisions of Bayer AG and for additional customers in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Bayer’s work with VMS includes BBS-internal projects used to attain a critical analysis and optimization of its own performance. At the same time, together with BBS’s customers, benchmarks for evaluating services, costs, and quality are carried out, which also serve the purpose of justifying the overall IT strategy.
Benchmarks of the worldwide IT landscape of the Bayer divisions are a part of that, as is the analysis of consolidation potential. In the operative area, VMS supports Bayer Business Services with monthly SLA reporting using benchmark data: with continuous best performance as the goal.
