The Henkel Group, which is publicly listed, and is headquartered in Düsseldorf, Germany, is active in three strategic business fields: the production of cleaning and laundry detergents, cosmetics, and body care products, such as adhesives. The company does business in 125 countries of the world.

Henkel and VMS have worked together on a series of projects since 2003. In the course of that work, performance and organizational forms of the IT systems (in-house operations, outsourcing, applications management with various providers) in all European locations, were investigated and assessed, using a VMS Report.

Henkel was given decision-making aids for assessing centralization and de-centralization, respectively, in particular with special reference to the various cost levels in different countries.

The VMS Monitor is used to support the technical optimization of all ERP systems at Henkel, worldwide.
